Today I had my medicine dispensed by a completely automated pharmacy dispensing system.
Thinking back to my days as a pharmacist, I’m sure this would have made things a lot easier, especially with very lengthy prescriptions. The reality of dispensing incorrect products or strengths are also likely to be significantly reduced. Productivity is likely to be higher as well.
However, the risk with this is that the public may now see them as nothing but glorified typists, despite the wealth of knowledge a pharmacist has on medicines.
