My brother said this shortly before he passed away from cancer:

‘We all have issues as we get older—you and I included. We all carry baggage from our past, and that baggage only grows heavier with time. It’s not always easy to learn how to let someone else into your life, to become part of someone else’s world, especially as you get older. In your twenties, it’s easy. But by your mid-forties, it becomes difficult. Still, I believe the reward is greater and far more meaningful.”
