@odd Having lived in Africa for the first 30 years of my life, I've experienced the hate twoards colonization first hand: It is pretty much... where it ought to be. The world does, to some extent, owe Africa. But a healthy portion of the continent's predicaments are its own fault. The various problems can be traced back to a lack of corruption-free democracy. Put it this way: Africa is not going to be helped by African governments. There is no way of changing the world's relation to Africa without changing Africa's relation to itself. And that will take time.
